Hampton senses his time is up with Steelers

I hope it's not the end of Hampton's career as a Steeler. If it is, why haven't they drafted someone to replace him? In the absence of an immoveable squat monster-in-waiting, wouldn't, say, a 2 or 3-year contract for Big Snack have made more sense than extending the Diesel for 5 years? Especially since we DO have Keisel's replacement lined up and ready to go.

One very cool thing, though. It speaks volumes about the loyalty and the winning mindset this organization instills that Hampton is not bitter at all. He's totally focused on winning a SB and being there for his teammates and coaches and fans. We have never had and probably will never have a prima donna crybaby like Brandon Marshall, because the Steelers are simply a superior organization to the Broncos, and pretty much to everyone else.

I agree with Rex J. I wish the Steelers could keep the same roster year after year!!

maybe they will give hamp an extension like you said. i hope they do for at least 3 years.
