The Houston Texans desperately needed another playmaking receiver to play opposite Andre Johnson , and that's exactly what they got in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft in former Clemson wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins .

General manager Rick Smith has talent on his roster and could afford to be patient when it comes to the direction, but it was nice to see him tab Clemson wideout DeAndre Hopkins with the 27th overall pick.

After going four consecutive years without selecting a wide receiver, the Houston Texans took two in the first four rounds last April.

Speaking at his annual football camp on Saturday, Andre Johnson said he would like to play five more seasons.
