The Texans moved to 4-3 for the second time in franchise history with a 24-21 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Left tackle Duane Brown admits he made a bad decision when he drew the 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that required Kris Brown to kick what became the game-winning 50-yard field goal at the end of a possession on which the Texans had driven to the 49ers' 11-yard line.

I dearly love it when I learn something about the team that I did not already know and it makes me go hmmmm .

It seems like every week there has been some underlying storyline to the Houston Texans upcoming game.A Last week was a battle between two teams with tendency to take things down to the last second.

Remember the hair? Some folks, including possibly a few Texans, might have thought Brian Cushing was a tad too cool for his own good when he arrived in town with his flowing locks.

I was very pleased with this game in several aspects, which I'll go into later. It was great to see our Texans go up against what has been deemed a good team and take one on their turf.

When the Texans have the ball... The running game has been a disaster all year long and things just got worse with the loss of RG Mike Brisiel for the entire year.

But when it came time to win the game, he was on the bench watching the goal-line offense come up short on a fourth-down run by Chris Brown at the 1-yard line.

One more yard and Texans quarterback Matt Schaub would have thrown for 200 of them in the fourth quarter Sunday.

It's also a terrible yards-per-rush average, and it currently belongs to the Texans.

Schaub threw for 20 yards in the second half, completing three of six passes. "We're dominating the game, you've got third-and-5, and the one thing you can't do is turn the ball over," coach Gary Kubiak said.

Moats isn't as good as Slaton, but he's not a bad option. - If you are keeping track at home, the Texans offense has scored ZERO offensive TDs in the second half of their four games this year.
