Harris: NFL Injuries, Troubles Lead To Waiver Wire Hunting

My blog is a safe place for fantasy owners to come vent, cry, scream and just let their frustrations out, and after this past week in fantasy football, I expect a lot of all that. I sat down Sunday, anxious to turn my brain off for seven hours from one of the most devastating off-the-field weeks in NFL history with some Red Zone and big games from big stars.

Dolphins Looking To Bounce Back Over A Deceptively Good Chiefs Team

After a disappointing showing in Buffalo, the Miami Dolphins return home to take on a Kansas City Chiefs squad with a deceiving 0-2 record in Week 3. Needless to say, underestimating Andy Reid's bunch based on their winless mark could prove to be costly and might put the Fins under the .500-mark for the first time in the young 2014 NFL season. Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., will be the site for this intraconference showdown between the Chiefs and Dolphins.

Arrowheadlines: Kansas City Chiefs News 9/16

With just moments left in the game, the Chiefs came within two yards of tying the defending AFC Champion Denver Broncos on their home turf-all while missing seven projected starters. "One of the things I'll just reiterate is the job general manager John Dorsey has done bringing players in here through all the different rungs that you could build a team as far as draft, free agency [and] trades," Reid said.

Performing under pressure

Of course, there's the other kind of pressure that quite literally means they are being pressured snap after snap; the kind of pressure that is applied by J.J. Watt and other top defensive players in the league. So this week, we'll use statistics to see which quarterbacks had to deal with the most - literal - pressure in Week 1 and how they fared.

Chiefsa offense shows signs of life

After the Chiefs' lackluster offensive performance in the season opener against Tennessee, Chiefs coach Andy Reid, as he wont to do, accepted all the blame and vowed to fix it. One very long week later, the fruits of that labor paid off on Sunday, as the Chiefs' offense made a complete 180, not only outgaining the Broncos 380 yards to 325, but also dominating time of possession .

Broncos' Peyton Manning good vs. Chiefs, but not on field enough

Mind you, Manning wasn't pulled by the coach in favor of backup quarterback Brock Osweiler. Manning and his three, first-half touchdown passes were left on the sidelines through most of the second half by a Denver defense that couldn't get off the field on third-and-long.

NFL Week 2 Picks: Last-Minute Advice on Vegas Odds and Spreads

While we are still far away from must-win territory this NFL season, it feels like a number of teams we expected to compete for a playoff spot need to right the ship in a hurry if they want to live up to those expectations. After all, while it's easy to see a team get hot at the end of the season to sneak into the postseason, it's much nicer when they have some breathing room later in the year.
