I try hard not to alienate my daughter from her father but he infuriates me by not involving me in his decision making regarding religion. Instead he and his girlfriend are making all the decision as if I am not around. He refuses to acknowledge that I am the mother to make these decisions with him as the father not his girlfriend. How do I deal with this? I have said some awful things to my daughter about this and regret it terribly. How do I correct this? She is afraid that she is going to have to go live with her father and leave me because he is forcing his religion on her and I do not like it. I am not involved or asked to be. Help. I do not want to shame her but he is putting me in a terrible position with little communication. She ends up being in the middle.

To Frustrated -- My children live in Lake County just north of Orlando. Their mother knows no bounds when it comes to trying to destroy my relationship with my daughters. I am working with Dr. Michael Bone in Winter Park, FL. Michael is a fantastic resource and I am sure he can put you in touch with someone in your area that can help you. Set up an appointment to talk to him. He is very easy to talk to. Do it for your daughter. His website is http://www.jmichaelbone.com/
