A Queensland woman who agreed to give her newborn baby to a couple she had known for years, then tried to get the child back eight months later by taking her during a joint counselling sessions now seeking custody of the child in the Family Court. A Federal Circuit Court judgment reveals that, in August last year, the mother agreed to give the little girl to her female friends after giving birth because she already had three children aged between eight and 17 and did not think she could properly care for her.
