Five Chapters of whining. She'll make a lot of money-the dumb hockey moms and bible thumpers-it's all about the money and denying women the right to choose. 1 Sometimes, my mother spoke to us about sex and the concenquences. She was very truthful and to the point. Yet my sister got pregnant at 15. This was almost 23 years ago. My parents both worked. Dad worked 2 jobs. She decided to skip school and "experiment" with her boyfriend. We were aware of the boyfriend and he could come to the house and visit (supervised). This is why they skipped school because it was the only was they could be alone (my parents were working). Long story short, we found out she was pregnant on a Tuesday, Dad and my five uncles had a "chat" with the boyfriend and the wedding was that Saturday! We can laugh about it now but it wasn't that funny then. Sometimes teen just don't listen. I don't care for Mrs. Palin's politics but I can understand how these things can happen. |

She SAID she never taught her children about how NOT to become pregnant-why would someone that would deny a woman the right to choose teach her daughters about THAT. I pretend nothing. Unless her daughter wanted to spite mommy because mommy was getting way too much attention and not around much-then the birth control she might have gotten ON HER OWN..she decided not to use. I'll show you mommy. |

1 Thank you for asking. My neice and God-daughter is an amazing young lady. She is almost 23y/o (lol), engaged to her high school sweet heart (great kid,we love him) and works in the banking industry. No children yet but we look forward to them! I disagreed with a "shock-gun" weddings even back then. But I was just 16. The marriage didn't last long but they did have one more child. She is also amazing! She has an artist's soul. She sings beautifully, teaches ball-room dancing and is going to nursing school. My sister remarried (16 years now) has 4 beautiful children. My view on choice may seem confusing to some. It's always a "heated" debate. I am a woman of faith and I am pro-choice, for medical reasons but not as a form of birth-control (personally) but that as a free human beings we have a right to make our own decisions. I believe in God's free-will and the separation of church and state. I believe that just as I am a person of faith, there are those who aren't and that the country belongs to all of us. These are some my personal beliefs. I'm glad my sister chose to keep her children. I wouldn't have loved her any less if she had not, she is my sister. But boy am I glad she did! We have a beautiful family. |

1 Your sister sounds very special-under the most difficult of situations-she rose above...and if she had made (as you said) another decision (which is difficult as a teen)-that would have been ok too. Perhaps her life would have been different-but nevertheless-a good one-filled with loving support from family and friends. |
