Yet another outlet for the Michael-Jackson-is-a-pervert trolls.

Elvis has sex with underage girls and he's going to be worshipped until the 22nd century. "The Killer" Jerry Lee Lewis admittedly had sex with his 13 year old cousin for Pete's sake.

I really like Van Gogh's work. Doesn't mean I don't think he was a freak.

Very well said. Most great 'artists' are drunks/drug addicts/substance abusers of some sort. From Elvis to Faulkner, from Heath Ledger to Judy Garland, from Belushi to Farley. The list is endless. While I'm not sure I'd leave my boys over at his house (actually, I am sure), what kind of pedophile only strikes once every 10 years and in only one location? And why is everybody pissed at Jackson, but nobody has anything to say about the hundreds of American parents dropping their kids off at his house to stay unattended? I would ONLY do that with my blood relatives, and I mean the ones from the house I grew up in!!! It's always Uncle Jack, Father Leahy, or even lately his hot blonde homeroom teacher that's got their hands in his pants! If he did do something, God'll sort it out. If he didn't, God rest his soul.

Hat's off to Workerbeedrone AND Winkerton. Precise and Grownup comments. Too bad the horrible puerile comments will soon follow.

Sultan of Swing, without even following your link, I Hear You. Worst war casualties in a year over July 4th weekend, and its MJ MJ MJ. Got it. Can't argue that. You are correct.

But I propose, while we're all reading this and commenting, somebody's kid/wife/father/son just died/got killed/got raped/they cant find/died by a drunk or they just got mugged/burgled/laid off (like I will by end of week probably)... and right now THEY don't care about Jackson, Afghanistan, Iran, Sarah Palin, Obama, health care, the stimulus, or anything else. That doesn't make them wrong, and that does'nt mean they don't care about the rest of the world. It means just for a moment ,there's a problem that's a little more important to them than the World at large. MJ was important to some, veterans families have their own priorities, and the freedom fighters in Iran couldn't care less about ANY of that as they try to take back their own country. Don't let the 'media' of any persuasion make you think 'the people' are caring/not caring about a certain thing that you feel is priority 1. The media now is ALL false, be it FOXnews or MSNBC, its about money, and the vultures are gorging themselves.

Just for shits and giggles..Michelle Malkin was criticizing the most inane things about the service on her twitter account,( rolling her eyes at Mariah Carey) and I watched Bill O'really? and another white guy dictate how black people should act during a funeral on the O'really? "no-spin zone" Factor. Yay..keep it up cons. What was reilley funny was Bill had a guest who had previously criticized Jerry Fallwell after his death, and O'really? admonished him for doing that, then couldn't admit to getting pwned for doing the same thing.(although..someone..came raman, producer, or director at Fox with a sense of decency did catch Bill-O sweating profusely during the segment). Lol..my wife wondered why I'll actually watch Fixed Noise, now she understands..she's still laughing.

Haven't you ever read any newspapers from decades past? The media has always been false. Take from it what you will, form your own opinions, and be glad that we have more outlets today.

This odd-looking man-made freak is digusting. Past tense is now better - now that the worms will feast on him. These underground flesh-eaters will most likely get sick and die of his flesh.

Jackson was a known homosexual who raped and molested countless little boys.

The latest autopsy report revealed he was a heroin addict and he had the HIV virus.

Jackson was incapable of producing any off-spring.

He was not the sperm donor which produced the two blond blue-eyed Aryan children depicted in the news. These photographs were produced in order to paint a 'fatherly' picture of this pervert. The Amerikan liberal media is known to fabrikate and distort the truth.

Good riddance.

I could not possibly care less that he died or his funeral. I certainly wouldn't spend any time watching the funeral service either on TV or the internet. Yes, his music was good; love it. But that's it. As a person I don't think to highly of him. He's certainly had several screws loose to put it mildly.

What you're seeing is a very shallow world come together to celebrate yet another mega-rich, messed-up-in-the-head, drug abusing celebrity who has been given god status for doing nothing more than entertaining us. He's been touted as a hero.

Last Saturday afternoon the 12 year old son of one of my co-workers dove into a river to save a 3 year old child that had fallen in. He risked his own life to save someone else. THAT is a hero.

On September 11, 2001, a couple hundred police officers and firefighters died trying to rescue people in the WWC. THEY are heroes.

We hear about them all the time. The people who sacrifice for others. The foster parents who care for the children of irresponsible adults. The teachers who desperately want the kids of this country to BE something. The soldiers who put their lives on the line to fight wars that WE simply shrug at. Doctors who stay awake nights wondering how they can save a dying patient. The paramedic who pumps life back into an accident victim. These people are all around us, being heroes everyday, yet we show very little gratitude.

What did Michael Jackson do that was a sacrifice? He sang and danced his way into a fortune. He wanted for nothing. He never saved anyone's life or gave of himself other than that which would add to his fame and fortune. Was he talented? Sure, but so are hundreds, if not thousands of other entertainers. Heck, you can find them on any street corner these days; they all try out for American Idol. Talent is not in short supply.

But like Elvis, the Beatles, or any other person with celebrity status, they are not gods nor are they heroes. To be an entertainer, self-centeredness is almost a requirement - to be a hero, self-centeredness is not even an afterthought.

Yes, it's finished, now perhaps the mainstream American media can go back and report on Cynthia McKinney, a Noble Peace Prize winner as well as other humanitarians being arrested after attempting to deliver aid and supplies to the Palestinians. There has been a resounding silence on this issue as CNN, MSNBC and other mainstream media sources rush to give us the latest news on the death of Michael Jackson.

You're absolutely right, which is one of the reasons I have my doubts about the charges against Michael Jackson.

No parent in their right mind allows their child to "sleep over" an adult man's house - PERIOD - unless maybe they have some sort of plan in mind, say, extortion?

I really don't believe Jackson is, was, a pedophile. I think he was incredibly eccentric, maybe even a prescription drug addict then, as well, but I think he saw himself as a child. He never really had what we would call a normal childhood so maybe he was looking for that once he grew up. He wanted the childhood fun and friends that maybe he never had.

I think HE was harmless; it was those who took advantage of his status and fortune who were dangerous.

Self deception will be the main issue today. You may be judging your situation wrongly: don't hold back, say what you think diplomatically and without being hurtful. This should result in a positive mental outlook for you. Competitive sports activity will ease any stress or tension.
