If a Priest or school teacher impregnated a 13 year old girl, it would be headline news and charges would be brought against them.
However, when the story is about an NBA player, it's like: "I didn't know that about him and her. Well, I Wish them the best."

This is sick and wrong for someone that kids look up to to take advantage of a little girl. Why wasn't this headline news if it was a normal person in a small town this would of been all over the news broadcast and papers.

WTF, I can't believe this. I will have to see some DNA test to confirm this, he could have went to jail, what did this girl's parents say about this. I don't believe it, if my 13 year old got preggo by a 20 year old, he is going to hear it from me, and my piece of steel.

According to the paper, Bell did not meet Malone until after Bell graduated from high school, and at that time Malone told Bell that it was "too late" for them to have a father-son relationship.[5]

ESPN.com 's Page 2 subsequently reported that Bell's maternal grandparents filed a child support action against Malone early in his professional career, resulting in a paternity test which confirmed Malone as Bell's father. According to The Salt Lake Tribune, Malone challenged as excessive the judge's order that he pay $125 per week, plus past and future medical expenses, then later reached a confidential out-of-court agreement with the family.[6]

To date, Malone has offered no public comment with regard to Bell."

No one's carrying the story because most know bs when they smell it and read it. Where are the details that confirm Karl Malone as the father? Ever hear of child support? The story would have been more believable if she was filing for back child support or something. Karl Malone was in the NBA earning millions and no one tried to get paid? File this one in the trash pile.

But then there's this:

There are a ton of holes in this story. One, a court ordered paternity test. If the court orders a paternity test it is done to establish the man as the father of the child so that the judge can make a ruling. If the paternity test proved he was the father, there's your ruling and case is closed. Second hole, according to this story, Malone challenged the ruling as excessive and reached an out of court settlement with the family. One cannot settle child support out of court, in 1986 the Bradley Admemendment was passed making it possible for courts to seize retroactive child support debts, the bill was introduced supposedly for rich, non-custodial parents that didn't pay child support.
If Karl Malone was indeed the father the court would have only needed to establish him as the father and then recover the money without Malone having to consent to payment. In other words, they could have taken what was owed. The other thing that doesn't make sense is the family settling out of court when the judge had ruled in their favor.
