I have recently presented my thesis and research at the Neuroscience convention,(SFN), in Chicago, IL in the beginning of October. I have studied and worked on the Synergistic effects of Gabapentin and Topiramate or acute pain mice and have reported some amazing findings. Because this was only my Masters thesis (in experimental psychology) and I did not have permission to study patients I am interested in any information that I can obtain about both drugs as well as any drug combinations, especially adjuvant drug therapy. Please feel free to contact me at ilyssamonda@gmail.com to get a copy of either my thesis proposal, it's paper in itself, or my SFN poster. I look forward to speaking more about combination therapy for pain and trying to find better outlets other than opioid treatment.
Best,
IML

My mother has CRPS and was prescribed Gabapentin as a pain reducer. She took this drug coupled with bi-weekly sympathetic nerve blocks. She had great success with the Gabapentin but experienced side effects such as:
Body High (minor hallucinations)
Fogged Memory
Anxiety
Insomnia
A few months ago she was told that she could start tapering off of it as her pain decreased. She is currently working on a blog right now about her experiences with this drug among many others and how it effected her life. She also is strongly against any opiod pain relievers that are classified as a narcotics so she has opened up an online store that focus on non controlled pain relievers called www.reducedprescriptions.com
Also I don't know if you are doing any studies on Lyrica, but that is another drug that was prescribed to her in case the Gabapentin was not successful. I will forward on your email to her as I think she is a perfect candidate for your research.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Aquarius

Money is a source of friction between you and friends now, so treat it with caution and respect. There could be a disagreement between you and a chum about a possession or a debt that one of you owes the other. If you're trying to organize a forthcoming social event, you could come unstuck when working out how much it's all going to cost because it might be far too expensive.
