Kapidex, DOES NOTHING FOR ESOPHOGUS!!! Prevacid was precribed for my Esophogus AND reflux, 20+ year ago. Thank You for all these years of releif. 2 days without reminds me what hell in the form of chocking to the point where I was not sure I could continue to breath. Kapidex and some others that I was forced to try helped with the reflux but my esophgus caused caughing so bad I ended up in the emergency room, heart racing, chocking, breathless. Unfortunatly because of the cost, prevacid has ONLY BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH HEARTBURN, which is a convenient & cheap little box that allows for denials, millions of "no use this" it's just heartburn? So, like myself, I am sent how & what to eat to releive heartburn.#%^&*
How about you play merciful god and allow those of us that have esophogus and reflux, both of which have horrid acid burn, to be looked as worthy of the relief only prevacid can offer. It is not a hard task to know who are hearburn sufferers. PLEASE - imagine living everyday every minute with the feeling of having to clear you throat. That is a great feeling, the alturnative is chocking, feeling like you can't catch your breath, coughing so much and so hard that you have a raw throat and all around you are sure you are the next virus.....It would be wonderful if this "comment" actually produced a postive result, if it gets read I will be shocked,if so thanks for reading help to put it back on the okay to presribe list ;)

Please do some research as to how these products work. Kapidex is a double dose of pravacid. so your saying twice as much of the SAME drug has no effect on you. Same compound, same company just 60mg instead of 30mg. the PLACEBO effect is clearly evident in your life.

I have been on Prevacid for about a year now. Because I still had occasional reoccurances of symptoms, My doctor said that I could take one 30 mg in the morning and one 30 mg at night. I found that taking this many in one day actually made my blood sugar fall, that I had to eat small meals all the time. Now that there is a smaller dose available OTC, I started taking the 15 in the morning and another 15 in the evening and it is still not helping. When I went to go back to the 30,I was given the new generic medicine and felt more nausceous that ever. I feel like I will never get to the point where I am ever over this, and am completely hopeless.
