After my h/attack and stents in 6/2006 I was put on the generic equiv. of Plavix, then a year later, I went to pick up my 'scripts' and noted the extra $20 and te pharmacist told me there was a problem with the generic. Now it is 10/09....anyone know if there is now an equiv. generic to Plavix??

Plavix will not be generic until 2011 in the US. There was a brief time you were able to buy a generic becasue there was a breech to the patent and the generic company was sued in court. If you have had an MI, keep taking your Plavix and Aspirin. These 2 medications work together to prevent another heart attack.
