Pfizer used "Pfizer Math" to persuade doctors that studies showed Lyrica was superior to two anti-seizure drugs, Neurontin and Keppra , when no comparable studies had been done - and Lyrica was not approved to treat seizures - according to two former pharmaceutical sales reps.
