Shaving armpits is a pain in the butt, devised by those who thought it would make women appear more feminine. Many women from outside the United States don't shave their armpits - legs either, for that matter. Who cares, really? If someone started the practice of MEN shaving their armpits, do you think it'd catch on? I don't.

I don't think it's simply to make women appear more feminine. It's actually cleaner. Because the odor that comes from sweating is less likely to stick anywhere that has no hair. I don't even wear deodorant most days.
And I know several guys who shave their armpits for a similar reason. It keeps you cleaner, it's less maintenance, more dry and think about it... if you're trying to cuddle with someone and there's armpit hair tickling you, it's not very sexy. Heh |
