I too have recently been diagnosed with Afib. I was put on medication Flecainide and Dilziatem plus one adult aspirin, and Simvastatin.
About a week after my release from the hospital, I had an Thallium stress test. According to my cardiologist ( from the hospital ) the test showed some reversible ischemia in a small lower portion of my heart. He recommended a heart catheterization. However since I recently lost my health insurance, he said we would not do this now. I am concerned, as I have read much negative information regarding Flecainide. He did change the Dilziatem to Toprol. However he has chosen to keep me on the Flecainide. I am very concerned, about this. How do I go about getting a second opinion?
