irritated wrote: <quoted text> That is the most ridiculous assumption. To say that facilities such as Third Way can't hire better qualified employees shows how truly clueless you are. You have no clue the qualifications that staff possess. The people who work at Third Way are extremely hard working and dedicated. They are extremely qualified and do a fine job of putting their skills to the test every day. Just because Matt chose to be deceitful, malicious, and preditorial doesn't mean that the rest of those working at Third Way are any less qualified. You need to get your information straight before you make comments like that. If one can get in..... Just saying and I think ray's mom just worded it badly...I think and I could be wrong....that she meant these places do not have the resources to subject employees to a good enough screening process to keep a holes like this one out!!!!!

So since you have the inside scoop, why don't you enlighten me as to the qualifications and processes that they employ in order to ensure that employees are legitimate. It's very irritating to me that so much criticism is occurring without the appropriate level of knowledge needed to make accurate assumptions. Matt hurt many residents, but he also hurt the staff that pour their hearts in to their jobs because Matt caused an enormous breach in trust that bled through to the rest of the staff, who continue to have to pay for his actions despite being nothing like him. So please don't criticize facilities who have the clients' best interests at heart unless you are qualified to do so.

Third way does both an FBI background check and a Colorado Statewide check. Matt passed both. He had no prior history. He also worked at a jail prior to this, and was subject to their background checks as well.

I see this is an emotional issue since reading and comprehending seem difficult. I am not putting down anyone that works there. Got it???? I was saying that something, that probably costs money which most programs lack that help serve youth, should be in place to keep people like said Matt form being a part of. Not only has he hurt children but the Center, it's reputation, yours and all the staff members and youth that needed it's services.

the following is quoted from one of the first posts in this thread...
"PS: I made a call back in March...let a staff member at Third Way know what he has done to women, how dimented I believed him to be, and that I didn't think he should be working with children anymore. I wish they had listened when I told the truth about this insane man."
apparently he wasn't investigated with fair warning that he was on a path of outright awful and deviant behavior, and was allowed to continue working with young women.... nuff said.

I forgot about that. Thanks and very good to point out.
