Charges have been filed against six people who were involved in a fight that led to shots being fired on Seborn Avenue Tuesday afternoon. Two area schools and a daycare center were temporarily placed on lockdown Tuesday, as Zanesville Police Chief Kenneth Miller said officers responded to 727 Seborn Avenue around noon for reports of shots being fired. In front of Judge Kelly Cottrill, 24-year-old Christopher Hendricks plead guilty to aggravated burglary, seven counts of kidnapping, five counts of aggravated robbery and have a weapon under disability. His bond was continued at $5 million and a pre-sentence investigation was ordered. Comment?

The Zanesville Police Department is releasing the name of a man who was involved in a three-hour long standoff with police Thursday afternoon. Chief Kenneth Miller said 33-year-old, Nicholas A. Hale of Columbus is being charged with six counts of kidnapping, two counts of felonious assault, one count of aggravated burglary and one count of aggravated robbery, all of these charges carry a firearm specification. A man is in custody Thursday night, following a standoff with police in what began as a hostage situation involving two victims. According to Chief Kenneth Miller of the Zanesville Police Department, around 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Zanesville Police were called to a home at the 1200 block of Devin Street for reports of a possible hostage situation involving an armed male suspect and two victims, a male and female. The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is releasing more details into an overnight officer-involved shooting that left one man dead. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said that shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, the Sheriff's Office received several 911 calls from a female reporting a domestic dispute at 2880 Pinkerton Road in South Zanesville.
