A Franklin County Grand Jury has indicted an area man for allegedly scamming elderly individuals out of nearly $50,000. Worthington police say Adolfo Castaneda agreed to do repair work for 14 individuals, including 11 elderly and one disabled victim, and never performed any of the work. Comment?

A 36-year-old Worthington man was arrested after reportedly hitting a utility pole with his vehicle while intoxicated. The accident knocked out power in the area for more than 12 hours, Worthington police reported. Comment?

A Highfield Drive man said he pulled a gun on another man who had assaulted him and called him a terrorist in the 300 block of West Pacemont Road at 8:48 p.m. July 25. According to a report from the Columbus Division of Police, the victim said he and a woman with whom he shares an address were kicked and struck by the man, a former neighbor of theirs. Reports said the suspect threatened to get a gun and kill the pair, at which point the man said he produced his own weapon, for which he has a concealed-carry permit. Comment?
