I had a DUI in illinois then a 2nd DUI in wisconsin 21 months apart what would be the result, how is it handled and outcome.
Both times when arrested for the dui's I refused to take a BAC(blood alcohol content) test. I had a BAID monitor installed in my car for 1 year for my first DUI. The second refusal to take BAC test resulted in being forced to take a blood test. Now I'm not sure weather to hire 1 or 2 lawyers to avoid any jail time. Blood test will be back showing results in 2 weeks. My court date is Jan 2nd, 8:15 AM in walworth county court.
As to the second offense, Illinois cannot do anything criminally unless you are on probation or supervision or...
How to find DUI records
My 6 year old son lives mostly with my ex-wife. She has been on several evening dates recently, and I have heard through the grapevine that she is driving under the influence. Obviously, I fear for my son. How can I find out if she has any DUI's?
Criminal History Records information is only available from the Illinois State Police. Information is located at their...
Is dui supervision less likely after a bench trial?
I am wondering if getting the option of supervision is less likely after taking case to bench trial? I interviewed many lawyers and they all seemed to want to take it to trial. I have arraingment soon. My parents seem to think I should just try to get supervision and I somewhat agree if a bench trial means risking a dui conviction even more. I am wondering if taking it to trial is a bigger risk of getting convicted rather than supervision if we were to lose at trial? One more question is does the attorney still negotiate sentence if we lost at a bench trial? My case is with dupage states attorney which I understand is the toughest, although I have a very good dupage dui lawyer and blew under .08 Thank you for your answers!
You bring up a very interesting point, but you have an attorney already and should rely only upon the advice of your...
Is taking first time dui supervision possible with previous supervisions same year?
I took supervision on a 15 over speeding ticket this year. Also I am not sure if this was supervision but in a seperate instance in last year for allegedly having a gram of marijuana I got 10 hours of community service in a town court which I showed the court the 10 hours were finished and that was last I heard about it. The only paperwork from that I can find says .."Town of xx code enforcement. The court has ordered you to 10 hours of community service in lieu of or in addition to a fine town of xx court room. It also says ... If you fail to succesfully perform community service by the court, then your supervision may be revoked, the number of community service hours may increase or a maximum fine of xx, or any combination thereof. Would I still be eligible to first time IL dui sup.
Yes. Irrespective of other offenses, oversimplified for one, for your first offense and that's it. Lifetime...

I have the BAIID installed and failed my first time they took my explanation. I failed a second time and my license suspension was extended three months. I failed my third time today and I am worried to what will happen.
I do not know why you are failing. Most likely because you are still consuming substances. First Stop do that. It is...
Would a lawyer be able to help me? (Fake ID in Illinois)
So to make a long story short, my roommate called the police on me when I was really drunk. I had a fake ID in my wallet, and I just got a letter from the Secretary of State saying that my license will be suspended because of this (Section 6-206(a)14). I have the option to contest the suspension, apply for a restricted driving permit, or apply for a reinstatement of my driving privileges. Is there anyway a lawyer would be able to help me reduce a suspension (or none at all, ideally)? If it matters, I go away to school (but in the state) and didnt have a car within 100 miles of me. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
Ideally when we get in trouble we think we should get no punishment because lets face it we are harder on our selves...
Getting license back after DUI
What is the average rate for getting license back after DUI? Haven't driven in 7 plus years as I don't have a lot of money. If I get my license back I can get my old job back.
If you are asking about attorney's fees, that question cannot be answered here. Lawyers and law firms set their own...
