The third suspect in the Feb. 16 shooting death of a security guard at the Rendezvous Phase III Bar in Homewood has turned himself in to police, authorities said. Eric McGuire, 29, of Wilkinsburg, faces charges of homicide and related crimes in the death of Deion Nesbitt, 24. He turned himself in at Pittsburgh police headquarters in the North Side early this morning, according to police. Comment?

Pittsburgh police have arrested one man in a Christmas Eve killing that was discovered hours after a nearby report of an attempted sex assault and continue to search for a second suspect. Ronald "Mann" Steave, 22, who recently lived at the Renewal halfway house, Downtown, was arraigned early Tuesday on charges that he helped kill Devin Jackson, 23, who was found dead on Felecia Way in Homewood. Officers on foot patrol in the 6500 block of Hamilton Avenue in Homewood noticed a gun and other "contraband" in a parked car, police said in a news release this afternoon. About 3:15 a.m., officers saw four men get into the vehicle and drive away, turning onto Putnam Street without using a turn signal. Comment?

A Wilkinsburg dealership owner duped at least 40 customers by taking their money and not submitting paperwork and fees to PennDOT, state police said. Charges are pending against Phillip Vixman, owner of Penn Avenue Auto Sales Inc., while police seek others who may have fallen victim to his scheme, said Trooper Robin Mungo, of the state police Moon barracks She said Mr. Vixman violated various vehicle code regulations and will face charges of theft by failure to make required disposition of funds received. Students at Propel Braddock Hills High School were sent home this morning after a threat was phoned in to the school. Student Kayla Barham, of Wilkinsburg, said school officials told students shortly after they arrived for school around 7:45 a.m. that a threat had been called in and that they would be going back home.
