Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Wildwood Police Chief Robert Regalbuto announce the arrest of Jason Rue, 34, and JennyVon Vasquez, 31, both from Ewing, N.J., and Jose Hernandez, 19, of Wildwood. On Feb. 5 at approximately 9:02 p.m., officers from the Wildwood Police Department responded to the 100 East block Schellenger Avenue for the report of a woman being held against her will at that location. On Jan. 31, the Appellate Division of the state Superior Court dealt convicted bank robber Donald Kelley Jr., 51, a serious legal setback when it denied his post-conviction petition that blamed his attorney for "ineffective assistance" of counsel at the time of his guilty plea in 2012. This is the second appeal from a Jan. 28, 2015 appeal to the sentencing Judge Patricia Wild, who denied Kelley's initial appeal of his plea and his sentencing. Comment?

Members of the Wildwood Police Department Street Crimes Unit concluded a four-week investigation concerning the sales of narcotics from a residence located in the 100 block West Wildwood Avenue in Wildwood Jan. 31. At approximately 7:30 p.m., Cape May County SWAT Team executed a court authorized search warrant targeting the aforementioned residence, in connection to the illicit sales of narcotics from the residence. As a result of the execution of the search warrant, distribution quantities of heroin were recovered during the search of the premises. Comment?

During the week of Jan. 16, 2017 through Jan. 22, 2017, members of the Middle Township Police Department responded to or initiated 907 calls for service, averaging 130 per day. During the week a total of 22 adults were arrested for various offenses. Comment?
