Wheeling police Friday released the original arrest report for two siblings earlier this month that prompted an internal investigation after their mother claimed in a TV interview that an amateur video showed her daughter being treated overly roughly by officers as she was taken into custody. Wheeling Deputy Police Chief Todd Wolff said the internal review of the June 6 arrests of 19-year-old Christian Ruiz of Wheeling and his 21-year-old sister Ashley Rodriguez of Chicago is likely to take another week. A 24-year-old Wheeling man on probation for marijuana possession has pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. Daniel Uriostegui, of the 100 block of Wille Avenue, was sentenced to two years in prison and ordered to pay $694 in fines Wednesday, according to court records. Comment?

Officers responded to a complaint of a person soliciting without a village permit at Church St. and Illinois Rd. at 4:14 p.m. on June 11. Officers located the defendant, Ralph Monroe III, 23, Oak Park, and verified that he had not obtained a permit and issued him a local ordinance citation. Melvin Blackwell IV, 20, Palatine was stopped at Sanders Road and Exeter Lane at 5:22 p.m. on June 11 and cited for suspended registration , uninsured vehicle, disobeyed traffic control device and suspended driver's license. Comment?
