Will I have a case against my alleged DUi
My car "charger" was parked by my house out of fuel from earlier in the day because my sister was driving it. After getting home from a local small town bar, my sisters ex called me in for "erratic" driving my girlfriends car "Pontiac." staying he was right behind me, however was still at said bar. After arriving home, I drank heavily, and wanted a ciggerette tired of standing I walked to my car "charger" and smoked then fell asleep "keys in center console" two sheriffs deputy's came to my door ordered me out, they told me I had been drinking and driving, after telling them my story they insisted I was, asked for a field test, and breathilizer. I kept asking why and asking what I did wrong was never once said no to either. they continued demanding that I was driving and drinking because I was so "reported" to be all over the road from a caller "sisters ex". I kept my words to myself and refused to say anything else after I knew the topic was going no where. They read my my rights 30mins later at the county jail. Worth noting: I use to work at said sheriffs office in the jail, left on bad terms. One of the officers who detained me didn't see eye to eye with me. Please help! TY

I was t boned truck my drivers side and back door going 60. I spun out a few times and flipped in the ditch. The ambulance showed could on take one person so I refused help for the little girl in my car. After I made sure to get her out of car mind kind of was a blur on an off. Then about 45 minutes later officer asked me to do sobriety. I did numerous of them. It was cold and windy and balance was really off I was really sore and emotional wreck. So he asked me to get in his vehicle to warm up. After he locked me in the back seat he walked away and come back and said we was going to police station to do more sobriety testing. Again my balance was not good. So he was determined I was under the influence while driving. Accident report has a lot of mistakes. Is it possible to beat

Why is my OWI being treated as a separate case?
Hello, I am a first time offender with a clean record otherwise. About two months ago I was pulled over for not stopping completely at a stop sign. I was carrying a half ounce of marijuana on me. The officer said that he smelled burnt marijuana which got me to admit almost immediately to having smoked recently to driving. The officer asked me to get out of the car and ran me through the typical drunk driver test. He then placed me in the back of his police car, informed me I was being arrested, and that is when I admitted to the possession and handed over the ounce. I was taken to the station, booked, and a pee sample was taken. Now, two months later, I have a court appointed lawyer, Mr. X, for my serious misdemeanor possession charge and haven't heard anything about my possible (and more than likely) OWI. Mr. X says that, once the OWI surfaces, he'll give me a deal and represent me on both charges. I am looking to seek deferred judgement. A family lawyer told me that if I take my deferred judgement then it should cover the misdemeanor AND OWI. Why haven't I heard anything about the OWI yet? Why is Mr. X making it sound like it's a completely different thing with its own bill?
Iowa Ethics rules prohibit attorneys from second guessing another attorney when a party is represented. You'll need to...
