Michael Anthony Reyes Jr., 25, was found guilty of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, along with being a felon in possession of a firearm, a felon in possession of ammunition, and multiple gang and gun enhancements. The jury also convicted co-defendants 22-year-old Lisa Humble and 21-year-old Liberty Landowski of being accessory's after the fact with a gang enhancement. Comment?

A man accused of running down three bicyclists with his car, two of who were seriously injured, will be psychologically evaluated after defense attorneys questioned his mental competency to stand trial. These concerns were raised during an early morning hearing Wednesday, where Alamar Houston's mental health was the main topic of discussion. Comment?

Chico >> Three accused vandals allegedly aimed their drunken rage at the storefront of the Safeway on West Sacramento Avenue early Tuesday morning, police said. The three suspects, identified as 18-year-old Cristian Cisneros, a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, were allegedly causing a disturbance outside the store about 4 a.m., according to a Chico police press release. Comment?

A man accused of deliberately running down three bicyclists with his car, two of who were seriously injured, made his first appearance in Yolo County Superior Court Thursday. Alamar Houston, 38, was arraigned on 17 charges including three counts of attempted murder and numerous counts of assault with a deadly weapon, driving under the influence of drugs, evading police and “theft or unauthorized use of a vehicle,” according to court documents. Comment?

The Sacramento Bee's report said Carew was arrested about 4:45 a.m. on June 17 outside Great Value Inn on West Capital Avenue by West Sacramento police. Officers found a man dead on the ground near the front office and a distraught Carew. Comment?
