How can I complete an Illinois DUI Program in Indiana?
I received a DWI in Illinois and need to complete a Level 2 Significant Program in Indiana. This consists of 10 hours of Remedial Education followed by 20 hours of group or individual counseling. I really want to get this started as soon as possible and do as much as I can online if at all possible. Where can I do this in the state of Indiana?
If this is for the Secretary of State, you can do the ten hours online at TomWilsoncounseling.com. If for the courts...
Is public intoxication a minor misdemeanor and will it affect my citizenship?
I am a student at Purdue and I was arrested this weekend for a public intoxication. I stayed in the drunk tank for 12 hours and released. I did not take finger prints and only thing i had to do was sign few forms as i was being released and they issued me a court date. I know public intoxication is a class B misdemeanor but can this affect my application for citizenship? I plan on applying within this year. This is my first offense in Indiana and my only other charge was a criminal citation for metro fare evasion in maryland. 1) how serious is a public intoxication? 2) will this charge affect my citizenship? 3) are public intoxication and disorderly conduct seperate charges? Thank you so much for your time.
You should speak with a licensed Indiana immigration attorney to discuss the potential immigration consequences. I...
I am in Indiana and I signed and paid a diversion agreement for underage drinking. Will it show on background check?
I believe I was told it would be expunged. Happened several years ago. Do I need to check "yes" on criminal history on job applications?
A diversion agreement if successfully complied with allows you to state that you have no conviction of underage...
Green card and DUI
My family and I are going through the employment based greencard application process. Unfortunately I was arrested for DUI in Indiana last February and am going to plead guilty for DUI as a class A misdemeanor. There will be no jail but one year of unsupervised probation and 40h of community services. I am married and take care of my two stepsons. I am the primary applicant for the green card. If I do not get it, it will affect the possibility for the whole family to stay in US. At that time, both my wife and me are H1B and the kids are dependent. Should I wait until the end of the probation before I try to continue the application process ? Even after the completion of the probation period, is there a chance that the application is successful ?
If you are applying through Indianapolis, you are in District 13. The general rule of thumb for this district is that...
How long does it take for a saliva drug test to come back when tested at probation indiana?
Asking for a friend.
There is no definite time. If it is clean he/she probably won't hear anything. He/she knows if there is something to...
Will a 10 year old DUI conviction affect sentencing for a current DUI case?
My partner is being charged with a Class A misdemeanor for operating with a BAC above .15%. He has a past DUI conviction from over 10 years ago. I understand because the conviction is so old it cannot enhance the sentence, but is this something that would mean he is likely to face the steeper end of 1st time offense penalties? Can a judge consider an offense so far back when sentencing?
Yes. Prior criminal history is one of the most important factors a judge considers in sentencing. This is especially...
Can my Probation be violated with a thc level of 12ng/ml drug screen
I am on probation in Indiana and had a positive drug screen for thc at a high level then four months later another positive screen at a level of 12ng/ml. Is this a high enough level to be considered a failed drug screen or to be enough evidence to prove current use.
You should expect a violation to be filed as any amount detected is a basis for revoking probation. However, a low...
