Sarah Palin, has entered a plea agreement with the state in a special court for veterans after his January arrest for allegedly punching a woman in the face at the family's Wasilla home. Kevin Fitzgerald, Track Palin's attorney, said Friday his client had opted into Anchorage Veterans Court - a move Palin had been considering since May - during a Monday proceeding. Comment?

Wasilla police say a mother visiting a thrift store with her young child Monday night was attacked by a local man, who punched her in the face several times before officers tracked down and arrested him. Scott Gardner, 32, is charged with third-degree assault and providing false information in the case, according to a summary of the incident posted on the Wasilla Police Department's Facebook page. A Mat-Su School Board and state parole board member who shot a man near his Wasilla-area property as he tried to escape arrest in March will not face charges Palmer District Attorney Roman Kalytiak announced his decision not to pursue criminal charges against Richard "Ole" Larson in an email Thursday to Alaska Dispatch News and the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman. Larson, through attorney and former Wasilla mayor Verne Rupright, has acknowledged shooting 24-year-old Codey Tallman after he ran across Larson's property near Bogard Road trying to elude Alaska State Troopers after ditching his pickup nearby. A Juneau man has died after his pickup truck slammed into a home in the capital's Mendenhall Valley Saturday, police said, causing extensive damage but no other injuries. Craig Stephen Temanson, 63, was declared dead at Bartlett Regional Hospital where he was taken for treatment following the 9:30 a.m. Saturday crash, according to a Juneau Police Department statement.
