Can I Drive in Illinois if breathalyzer required in Missouri
I got a dui in Missouri but live in Illinois. To clear my records in Missouri I had to get an IID installed. When I got my Illinois license they don't require the iid but I have to keep it 6 months and report to Missouri. Am I allowed to drive any car in Illinois? I have a feeling I must be in my car with iid installed if driving in Missouri but not sure about when in Illinois since they didn't require the breathalyzer to get my license.
You should be good ii Illinois. Hope the MO was not a conviction or IL. Will take action Even if it would have been...
Informal Hearing to Reinstate License
I was caught underage drinking at a bar that allows 19 year olds. I was holding onto my friend's 21 ID for her (she had no pockets), and when the officer got me for underage drinking, he found her ID. The bar gives 21+ wristbands in order to differentiate who they can sell drinks to and I did not have a wristband because I used my own ID to get in. When the officer found my friend's ID, he said that I used it as my fake to buy alcohol, but he has no proof. If my license is sent to SOS, what's the chance I can get it reinstated?
This question was asked once or twice previously. Please refrain from any more repetitions. The volunteer attorneys who...
What's my liablity if I sell liquor a 22 yr old (who is with a 19 yr old) if the 19 yr old commits a crime after drinking it?
As a cashier, I have a 22 yr old and a19 yr old in line together. The boss says only card the one who is paying. If the 19 yr old commits a crime after drinking the liquor I sold the 22 year old he was with, what is my liablity?
On these bare facts, none. There are so many possible nuances and shades of grey for this scenario that I wouldn't...
I pled guilty to a DUI offense about 4 years ago. I still do not have my license because I am unable to pay my court fines.
Is there any way my court fines can be waived so that I will be able to get my license reinstated?
Not a chance in Champaign County. They probably won't even let you make a payment plan if yo are beyond the payment...
DUI Arrest in 1989
I plead guilty and was told that my driving prevleges were revoked for life. Is this true?
Not enough information is furnished to answer your question. Was this your first DUI?
If I get a court suspension for a first-time DUI, will it be on my record for the rest of my life?
I recently got a DUI, and I have been asking various lawyers a few questions before hiring one. The skinny on the situation is that this is a first-offence DUI and that I didn't blow, and I've been told that there are three various outcomes, one of them being a court suspension, which is a one time only deal that, from what I understand, is saying "yes, I'm guilty" but you don't get convicted. What exactly is a court suspension, and how serious is it? I don't mind not having my licence for 1 year, I want to try to minimize the impact on my record. Also, I'm wondering if the court suspension is going to show up on my record, or what kind of record it does show up on if any. Will international employers be able to see this record? If so, what do they see? Thank you to any replies...
Supervision is hard to get in Champaign. The suspension only shows on your public record during the time it is in...
Do out of state DUIs carry over?
So, my girlfriend was arrested yesterday afternoon for driving while under the influence in Rockford, IL. This is her 3rd DUI, but it is her first in the state of Illinois. She had gotten 2 DUIs almost back to back in Michigan about 2 years ago, but was able to walk away after 10 days in jail and without probation. To date, she owes the state about $6,000, and technically has a warrant out for her arrest in Michigan due to unpaid fines. I'm curious if the DUIs will carry over, because right now her bond is set at $300, and that seems awfully low for someone with her DUI history. Isn't a 3rd DUI supposed to be a felony, anyway? She had gotten into an argument with someone and fallen asleep in the car (which just so happened to be in the middle of a parking lot). Someone noticed her passed out in the car and called the police, who then knocked on her window and proceeded to question her. They got her with 5 charges: DUI ALCOHOL/INTOX COMPOUND/DRUG; POSSESS DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; POSSESS CANNABIS 2.5-10 GRAMS; DRVNG UNDR INFLU/BAC 0.08; TRANSP/CARRY ALC LIQ/DRIVER. I know she had a bunch of opened containers and cans in the car. What is likely to happen if she is not bonded out?
Convictions from other states carry over to other states. You know she needs to get a dui attorney, help her do that....
