Termination of court ordered program due to lack of transporation?
So I was signed up for Project Point of Light, I'm 19 turning 20 this November with no permit or license. With both of my parents working, my gram being ill, and no transportation to the program from time to time, I was terminated from the program which is required by parole. Is there anyway I can work this out with Project Point of Light? I have written excuses and what not that I was going to turn into them the next time I was able to go. Can they really hold me accountable for the lack of transportation when I don't even drive? It's a 48 minute drive away. It's in a way unfair, and I'm trying everything possible to comply with my probation. Please let me know I feel I can do anything, whether it's calling Project Point of Light themselves, or whether my probation officer can do anything. Thank you so much!
Presumably, you were represented by an experienced criminal defense attorney. He or she should be your primary source...
In PA do I have to submit breath and blood or is one sufficient?
While parking my vehicle i tapped into the back of a parked vehicle and there was minimal if any damage last night. I did the field sobriety test and provided breath bit the officer wanted to take me to the hospital to get blood even though it was already determined that I was over the legal limit. I refused the blood test as by this point I had complied with all requests. I had a dui in 2005 and was on ARD. I completed the requirements but had tp be granted a slight extension. I am an insurance agent and rely on my drivers license to provide a living for myself so firstly i submitted breath so will I face penalties for refusing the blood test and what are my options for minimal license suspension? Oh and i believe my bac was .16.
It sounds from your description that what you were given was a preliminary breath test (PBT) at the scene. That is not...

Can I trade in my car if it's under my dads name and he has a dui?
My dad gets his license back November 2017, but I'm in urgent need of a new car. I was told that there's a way to go around the dui, but I don't turn 18 until April 2017 to put the insurance in my name. It's a 2004 Nissan Altima 2.5, and we bought it for $2,500. The owner never told us about the problems with it or that multiple parts were taken out. I've put $1,500 into it so far and will need to put $3,000-$5,000 more into it. The entire suspension needs replaced, there's an oil leak in the engine, the front passenger side door does not open and will sometimes open randomly and not close at all. An alignment is needed, the rear strut on the right was not put into place correctly and is hanging there so it bangs off whatever while I'm driving (I don't drive it now because of it), the whole right side looks as if it were sideswiped (from previous owner) and that's where most problems occur. There are a lot more problems, but I basically need to replace everything for it to run the way it should. This is my only transportation to and from school, as well as other places. If there is a way around this situation it would be extremely helpful.
You can trade in the car anytime you want as long as you own it outright and your father agrees. Really not sure why...
