H1 Extension in Process & OVI/DUI Charge after getting Acknowledgement
Hi One of my friend has applied for H1 Extension and he received Acknowledgement Note last month. When it was in process , he answered as Not Arrested / Convicted while applying for the Extension. Due to his extremely bad luck he got into trouble yesterday with an OVI Charge and Reckless Driving note. Even though blowed below BAC [.062%] and he is taking an attorney help to fight the case in court now. Would there be any problem with this situation on his H1 Extension Approval, which is yet to be known and shows on USCIS as Case Received still. Please let us know.

If a prosecutor comes to the pretrial hearing unprepared and has no reports what-so-ever, could the case be thrown out?
My stepson was charged with an OVI and his dad and I wanted him to get into a program what would upon successful completion expunge this offense. His mother hired a lawyer that we do not trust and BOTH prosecutor and defense lawyer were not prepared and the pretrial is rescheduled for December. If my step son's lawyer was prepared, could he have gotten the case thrown out? We think we should fire this attorney and have him go in front of the Barr Assn.
The state is under no obligation to resolve the case at a pre trial. Pre trial is simply a status conference to assess...
I am on probation for DUI in Indiana until 3/17. I was arrested for DV and felonious assault in Ohio where I live now.....
Should or am I obligated tell my current attorney I'm on misdemeanor probation in Indiana ? ( I was allowed to move here in August with no one following me here) I use Anytraxx phone system to check in. Current charges came from me being off bipolar meds( not by choice). My husband called local EMS not 911 to get me to PSYCH ER as I was psychotic and erratic. In a nutshell, 5 days later after psychiatric stay and back on my meds- I was arrested in my home. The officer pressured us both into signing DV complaints but we wouldn't. My husband was trying to keep us safe and I was out of my mind. ?- will I have to go back to jail in Indiana because I'm on probation there? I haven't told my new attorney yet. I'm so afraid. I don't understand how all of this new police business even happened. No injuries occurred, no one accused the other. I have no criminal record. Only DUI.
A normal condition of probation is that you notify your probation officer of any contact whatsoever with law-...

I was released on my 80% due to outstanding behavior. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
