The California Attorney General's office has filed 68 felony charges against a Tustin man accused of engaging in identity theft to defraud victims out of luxury vehicles worth more than $2million. Minhchau "Mike" Pham II, 46, is being held in the Los Angeles County Jail in lieu of $1.7 million bail. Comment?

SANTA ANA>> A Department of Motor Vehicles clerk and five others are facing identity theft charges stemming from an alleged scheme to sell legitimate Puerto Rican birth certificates and Social Security numbers to create phony new documents. Tracey Lynette Jones, 33, of Long Beach, who works in the El Monte office of the DMV, surrendered to federal authorities on Monday and entered a not guilty plea at her arraignment, according to Thom Mrozek of the U.S. Attorney's Office. Kohls store security informed police at 1:28 p.m. Oct. 13 that an individual had been caught attempting to shoplift merchandise from the store, at 18182 Irvine Blvd. Brian Stanley Morris, 38, of Santa Ana was cited by police for shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia, then released. A woman in the backseat of her vehicle fastening her daughter and infant son's seat belts outside of Bodega Ranch Market reported at 3:13 p.m. Oct. 15 that a man jumped into the driver's seat of her vehicle and closed the door. Comment?
