Is it legal for a police officer to open my front door, and come in to my house and arrest me for dwi, on "witness" testimony?
there was an accident, but absolutely no injuries. the police witnessed nothing. they based their arrest on 911 call.
Did they have an arrest warrant? The best thing to do is contact a local criminal defense attorney.
I got my car stuck in a ditch and I had to ditch my car because I had a few drinks before the happening. It was towed to a storage and towing facility.
It is possible that you may face charges of leaving the scene of an accident, if you admit to driving, but that is...
I have not been convicted. I'm still in a discovery stage of it with my attorney. Just curious if it will show up on my background check considering I have not been convicted.
It should show up that you have been "charged". It should not show up in a check for convictions. The type of record...
I have dui in new jersey and lost privilege to drive in NJ for 7 months. I'm a texas resident. 3 month after the NJ trial, I received notification in mail that my license in texas will suspend for 3 months. I researched online for the eligibility of occupation license. And it states there 90 days of waiting period if suspension is alcohol related. Is this valid for Out of state conviction suspension? My suspension in texas is 90 days so does this mean that I'm not eligible? And what would be the best way to apply for the occupational license? Please advise. Thank you

The court said I was OK to deploy handle it when I get home. But isn't there a statue of limitations on misdemeanor Crimes? My bac was 0.027 I'm facing a class A misdemeanor. I didn't sign anything to hold the case my lawyer said the court said I was good. I'm in the us army sitting over in Afghanistan stressing my home coming.

I was in a wreck in 2008, which resulted in 2 back surgeries, and knee surgery, so I was prescribed pain medication for a few years. After all surgeries, and pain management, I was put on Buprenorphine, to help body adjust, and also for acute back pain management. Every Rx I've had, were 100% legitimate. I was arrested for a 2nd DWI in 2013, my first DWI was in 2002. My probation officer wants a letter from my doctor explaining the need to be on this medication, and my PO said she wants to make a plan to get me off of this medication. I've have several UA's, and all were 100% clean. So I don't understand what the problem is. If it doesn't fail any of the "testing for" medications/substances, why is it an issue? Is she allowed (legally) to make decisions for my medical treatment?
Your PO is not a doctor and has no say in your medical care. As long as the medications are prescribed to you and you...
