My husband drives my car drunk without permission. Since the car is in my name, is there anything I can legally do to stop it?
I'm usually asleep when he leaves the house drunk and he drives my car. I would like to take some form of legal action to stop it, short of calling police on him. He's also in the military, therefore, a DUI could end his career.
You need to get a therapist for your husband rather than a lawyer for yourself. I recommend that you hide the keys...

We are hosting an event at our house and will be serving alcohol to it. We do card everyone that comes to get a beer and also provide wrist bands. We are also taking out event insurance with a liquor liability included in it. Is there anything else that we can do to cover ourselves in case of an accident. Can we have people sign a form saying we are not responsible for accidents?
First of all, I do not practice law in your state, so my answer is not legal advice, just my thoughts on how I would...
Back in 1980's, I was an ignorant youngster. Went to jail a few times for DUI. On the 3rd one, I served 90 days. For the 4th one, before going to trial, I bailed out, skipped town, and left the country. I am sure there was a bench warrant issued for my arrest. I quit drinking 20 years ago. Now I am coming back to the US. Would the arrest warrant from 1988 come back to haunt me?
Yes, it could. Consult with an attorney
I was arrested for DUI last weekend and am now figuring out everything I need to do. In the state of Kansas, you have 10 business days from the date of arrest to request a license hearing. My driver's license was issued in the state of Iowa, so does that mean I do not need to do this hearing since my license is not in this state?
If you do NOT want to drive in Kansas, then you do not need to worry about the 10 day deadline as you will be suspended...
I am forty year old female just received my first dui. should I take a diversion if offered or plead not guilty.
I believe I can beat this case with a lawyer
You really should speak with an attorney immediately. The consequences of a diversion are nearly as bad as a...
How and when do I ask for a diversion for a DUI first offense in the state of Kansas? In court, admin hearing, or other?
I know this deal is to be made with the prosecutor, but when and how? At the assigned court date, at the administrative hearing? I can't afford an attorney, so will I get appointed one or none at all?
I know a lot of good DWI lawyers in your state if you would like a referral. These cases have to be handled by...
I an currently under DUI diversion in Kansas, how do I answered "have you even been charged with a criminal offense"?
I am currently applying for a job that has multiple Insurance companies doing criminal and credit background checks on me. I was charged with a DUI in the city of Mission Hills, Kansas and have been in the DUI diversion program, and have one month left of the program. I know the program shows I have not been convicted but on question on the background check asked me verbatim "have you ever been charged with any criminal offense in any court (other than minor traffic infractions for which a court appearance was not required)?" Do I answer yes or no? I live in, overland park, KS if that info is needed
Yes, you have been charged, no, you have not been convicted.
