    A 25-year-old Thomaston man who threw a toddler, causing serious brain injuries, was sentenced Nov. 2 to two years in prison. Joseph K. Emerson was sentenced in Knox County court by Judge Paul Mathews to five years in prison with all but two years suspended for aggravated assault.

  • Police rescue Thomaston woman from domestic assault

    A 37-year-old St. George man is behind bars after being arrested Monday, Oct. 15, and accused of punching and trying to strangle a woman. Michael E. Wiley was arrested and charged with Class A aggravated assault, Class C domestic violence assault, and three counts of violating a condition of release.
