i read the DA takes 1 year to file charges for a dui, if charged and dont show up on the recommended court date on the letter given by the da, can the DA or the judge renew the dui warrant each year if i didnt show up to court? what happens to old warrants that go unserved for years? do they reinstate it?

Will I have to do jail time for my 2cnd DUI? First DUI was in 2009; 8 years ago.
I received my 2cnd DUI a few weeks ago. First one was back in 2009; 8 years ago. There was an accident involved, but only my car turning off the side of the road & down the slight dirt embankment. From what I have researched & the information that has been released to me, my BAC was .30. Am I going to have to do jail time?

Can changes be made to a Judge's Order after it has been signed regarding an DUI case?
Last year my case for my 2nd DUI concluded. My lawyer told me everything the prosecutor sought regarding the case, which included an ankle bracelet and an IID. However, the judge did not mark on the judges order for both the ankle monitoring and the IID. When I went to the Substance Abuse Assessment Unit, I brought it up with the assessment counselor and was told the order would be sent back. A week and a half later I called for an update and was told the Judge's Order will stay as is. My main concern is that in a year or two they will decide to change it and order me to get both the ankle monitoring and the IID. I plan on moving out of state and am concerned that it will cause complications down the road. Does the court or judges have power to change a judges order after it's signed? Thank you.
It's unlikely the order would be changed again absent a probation violation, but yes the court retains the power to...
Am I able to drive to a college for a campus visit on a critical need drivers license?
Hello, I am applying to university California of irvine and need to visit the college to see the campus. Last November I got a wet wreckless driving charge. I am 20, and I was able to acquire a critical need license per VC 13202.5 for which the judge approved and acknowledged. I'd like to know if I am able to drive to UCI campus, coming from San Diego. Thank you!
It's the DMV that sets the restrictions, not the court. Judges can make a recommendation but nothing more. You'll have...
