In 1984 I pleaded no contest to dui arrest. I was fined $660 ($20 a month) and required to attend DUI classes and stay out of trouble for 2 years. I finished the classes and payed on the fine for awhile. I lost my job and moved out of state still owing $440. I wanted to pay the fine, but when I missed a few payments, I was told they wouldn't accept the payments and I needed to go back to court. That wasn't possible at the time. I still can't go to Oakland but I want to clear this up. How can I do that?

I am applying for jobs that require a lot of travel and driving and I am worried that a background check will show both DUIs.
