    A 24-year-old Key West man was jailed Nov. 25 after police say he held two teens at gunpoint as he robbed one of a watch just after midnight on Thanksgiving Day. Orlando Brown was found outside the Searstown shopping center on North Roosevelt Boulevard with the stolen watch - a $265 Lacoste - on his wrist and a loaded .40-caliber Smith and Wesson handgun on the floorboard of his Dodge Charger, according to the police report.

    A Tavernier woman is facing a second drunk-driving charge two months after police said she drunkenly drove through a neighborhood trying to hit pedestrians while shouting racial slurs. Sonja Lopez, 57, was driving a gold sedan about 4:30 p.m. Nov. 21 on U.S. 1 at mile marker 98 when she ran a stop sign and struck a Jeep, according to the arrest report.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff Office, a Stock Island woman called police Friday night from Miami to report that neighbors saw someone going into her home through a back window.

    A 28-year-old man armed with a large knife robbed a Stock Island corner store early Thanksgiving morning and was arrested shortly after, police said. Israel Manuel Drago was booked for suspicion of felony assault and armed robbery after the 5 a.m. attack at the Tom Thumb store, 5690 Maloney Ave., during which the clerk was forced at knifepoint to hand over cash from the register.

    A man in jail told prosecutors that authorities arrested the wrong man in the shooting death of a Tavernier couple last year, according to evidence filed in the case. The inmate claims Kristian Demblans - brother of Adrian Luis Demblans, 35, who was charged with first-degree felony accessory to murder - told him that he was the man who pulled the trigger in the death of Carlos Joel Ortiz, 30, and Tara Lynn Rosado, 26, while both were cellmates at the Stock Island jail in September.
