The case against Brendan Johnson in the 2014 murder of his grandparents, Charles and Shirley Severance, took an abrupt turn this morning, as the Sterling man entered a new plea in the case. Johnson, who originally pleaded not guilty to all 14 counts in the double murder case, appeared before District Court Judge Michael Singer this morning for a disposition hearing with a signed plea agreement. Comment?

Jury selection in the trial of Brendan Johnson, the Sterling man accused of murdering his grandparents, Charles and Shirley Severance, last summer with the help of his girlfriend, is scheduled to start April 27. At a motions hearing Friday, District Court Judge Michael Singer went over the plan for how jury selection will go in the death penalty case, and asked the attorneys from both the prosecution and the defense for their input. The selection process will be done in several steps, starting with a questionnaire that will go out with the jury summons. Comment?
