Major League Baseball has determined Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish had no role in any of the activities that led to the arrest of his brother in Japan for allegedly running an illegal gambling ring. MLB was looking into the October arrest of Sho Darvish as part of standard protocol and not investigating the pitcher, according to the person who spoke Monday night on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press because MLB and the Rangers have not publicly released the findings. Lee was arrested in Atlanta in 2003 after being accused of killing Carrie Lynn Yoder, a Louisiana State University student, and he was linked to several other killings in the state. Comment?

The man arrested after a standoff at Arkansas State University last month is being charged with three felonies, authorities said Thursday. Second Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington said in a statement Thursday that Brad Bartelt, 47, will face charges of making a terrorist threat, criminal possession of explosive material or destructive device and terroristic threatening.
