Deputy Chief Scott Custer said South Windsor police responded to a call for an interrupted residential burglary on Chapel Road, near Main Street, at about 2 a.m. Sunday. Custer said the unidentified homeowner was home with his two children and woke to find Robert Cummings, 50, of 509 Burnside Ave., standing in the hallway near his bedroom and holding a gun. Comment?

Police say the Farmington Bank on Farmington Avenue was robbed at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday , according to the Hartford Courant. The Courant reports the suspect, described as a white man in his 20s, handed the teller a note demanding money and then left the bank with the cash. Comment?

South Windsor Police have charged a Manchester man with shoving a co-worker, who fell backwards and was knocked unconscious. Police responded to an assault at Global Turbine Component Technologies, 125 South Satellite Road, on Wednesday and officers learned that during an argument one employee had shoved another, according to Lt. Comment?
