Two masked men broke into a St. Paul residence during a home-invasion robbery this week, terrifying a woman home with six children. The 36-year-old victim told police she thought she was going to die when one of the men cocked a handgun and pressed it against her forehead, according to charges filed against two men. Comment?

Police were summoned after a stabbing assault on the 400 block of Fourth Avenue South in South St. Paul and found a man fatally wounded Wednesday morning. Officers, South Metro Fire personnel and HealthEast paramedics responded at 2 a.m., providing emergency medical aid, but the man, who had two puncture wounds to his upper torso, was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
