Renetha Thomas, 42, of San Jose, was arrested on suspicion of elder abuse, burglary, credit card fraud and identity theft, according to the South San Francisco Police Department. Police said the arrest came after several months of investigating a series of wallet thefts in South San Francisco and in other cities in San Mateo County. Comment?

A months-long investigation into a spree of Peninsula wallet thefts ended Thursday with the arrest of a 42-year-old San Jose woman, authorities said. Renetha Thomas is suspected of stealing the wallets of at least 15 elderly women in San Mateo County since August. Comment?

The South San Francisco police department asked the community to help identify a burglary suspect, who stole from a residence on Jan. 18, 2017. According to police, the suspect stole jewelry and money from a home located on Highland Avenue in South San Francisco approximately at 11:17 a.m. after the owner interrupted the burglar. Comment?
