    Three South Boston men have been charged with malicious wounding in connection with a Wednesday shooting on McKinney Street - including two 18-year-olds who were recently arrested for their part in the May 26 graduation brawl at Halifax County High School. Moses Hendren and Tyjae Hendren, both 18, and 26-year-old Darshae Lee were arrested on Friday and Saturday.

Local authorities have released additional information and a photo as they search for the suspect in the bank robbery at American National Bank in South Boston on Monday, August 27. Investigators with the South Boston Police Department have information indicating that the suspect was in Walmart on Old Halifax Road that morning prior to the robbery.

    On Monday, shortly after 8 a.m., officers of the South Boston Police Department were called to SouthFax Insurance located at 4019 Halifax Road to investigate a breaking and entering. Upon their arrival officers found that a side window had been broken and that the business had been entered.

  • Pickpocket suspect tied to Clarksville theft

    The Roxboro, N.C. Police Department has released a newly acquired photo in an appeal to the public to help identify a man said to have been involved in a "criminal matter." While the photos are not clear, the man appears to be the same one believed to have stolen a wallet from a woman's purse at The Cottage Barn in Clarksville on June 5. In both photos, the man appears to be wearing the same plaid shirt, ball cap and glasses Clarksville Town Police said immediately following the theft in June, the suspect or someone working with him used credit cards stolen from the female victim at Bridgeview Exxon and Walmart in South Boston.
