A 68-year-old woman was found shot to death inside her home on Floyd Circle in Semmes late Thursday afternoon, and three teenagers, one the 13-year-old great-grandson of the victim, were later arrested near Grand Bay, the Mobile County Sheriff's Office said. Sheriff's spokeswoman Lori Myles said that Faulk's vehicle was taken after the shooting and was found on Edmond Marchand Drive in Grand Bay, about 20 miles from the crime scene. Comment?

Erick James Toomer, 19, was arrested by the Mobile County Sheriff's Office on Thursday night and charged second-degree possession of marijuana and murder in the death of Mary Faulk, 68. A 19-year-old charged with murder in the death of a 68-year-old woman from Semmes was given a $25,000 bond in Mobile District Court on Friday morning. Erick James Toomer, 19, was arrested by the Mobile County Sheriff's Office late Thursday night and charged second-degree possession of marijuana and murder, for being an accomplice after the fact. William Derek Touchstone, 33, was denied bond on Friday morning in his first-degree assault case for shooting at a motorist in Semmes last week. On the morning of January 25, the male victim in the shooting said after purchasing coffee, he got in his vehicle and began driving east on Highway 98. As he approached Ed George Road, a white Hyundai Sonata that was in front of him began to slow down and came to complete stop in the middle of the road. Comment?

A fifth grader at Collins-Rhodes Elementary School in Mobile brought a gun to school Monday morning, according to Mobile County Public School System officials. MCPSS Spokeswoman Rena Philips confirmed the incident and said another student alerted a school official about the gun at 8:30 a.m. The school official found the gun in the male student's backpack and took possession of the gun, then contacted local authorities. A 37-year-old man was shot and killed inside a home during a confrontation that ended up being labeled as self-defense, according to the Mobile County Sheriff's Office. Myles said that the MCSO was notified that a homicide had taken place at 9892 Oak Mont Court in Semmes. Comment?
