Do I have to have an interlock device on my car the entire duration of my parole?
I've been on parole for 18 months, had interlock on my car for 12. I've had no violations on the interlock or parole. I have 1 year left on parole. My previous officer said he could make a recommendation to the Board to get it removed if I provide him with a record of all interlock downloads showing no violations. My new officer says that's not true and I'll have to have it on until the end of my parole. Which one is right?
I don't know of any current parole law that says they couldn't modify the conditions of parole to allow removing the...

There was no charge then and none now in regards to possession of meth. After 8 months of running he turned himself in . DWI settlements
I'm a teacher and I was hit by a drunk driver which totaled my car ad left me with a bulging disk in my neck that took over 3 months of treatments (PT, chiro, steroid injections) to relieve the pain. The other driver received a 20 year sentence for his 5th (?) DWI, he drove without a license since he just got out of jail after serving 4 months for a prior DWI and he fled the scene (he is also a child molester according to his records). His insurance company only offered $16,000 even though their limit is $100,000. How likely is it that this is something that will be settled out of court and is it likely to be able to react the limit? I know North Texas juries rarely award large settlements.
Hire an experienced lawyer in your area ASAP. You are no match for an experienced insurance adjuster. You need a...

How can I complete the packet from here or what is the quickest process?
You MUST get your license reinstated in AZ before TX will consider giving you a license. Hire a lawyer there and...

He's been living out of state since 1994 with no legal issues. That would be hard to say unless the case is researched by an attorney. There still may be a warrant out for his...
Are prosecutors in Texas able to use a prior conviction in California to enhance a DUI charge?
I have a friend who is being held on a 3rd degree felony DUI. He is concerned that prosecutors in Kaufman County will use prior convictions in CA (dating back to 1988--sexual battery) as enhancements to charge him with the habitual criminal act.
Yes, enhancement is certainly a possibility if he's facing a felony DWI charge and has a prior felony conviction. It's...
