A Sanford woman was arrested on Thursday, June 30, on drug trafficking charges in the wake of seven recent drug overdoses in the city, including one fatality. Ashlyn Smith, 26, was arrested June 30 at her Sanford residence by Sanford Police officers and agents of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and charged with two counts of Class A Aggravated Trafficking in Heroin.
