The grandson of a World War II veteran from Fairview who died after he was beaten with a pan during a robbery was rewarded Friday for testimony that helped to convict his former friend of murder. During a hearing in Hackensack, Andrew Abella, 22, of Saddle Brook, was allowed to withdraw his December 2012 guilty plea to burglary conspiracy charges and enter into a pre-trial diversion program. HACKENSACK - Two former Saddle Brook cemetery employees took about $180,000 in cash payments purportedly for cemetery plots and mausoleum crypts, but instead used the money for themselves, authorities said Friday. Garfield residents Denise J. D'Agostino, 50, and Kathy Barbier, 42, who worked at Saint Mary's Cemetery, were charged with theft by deception following a 10-month probe by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office White Collar Crime Squad, the prosecutor's office said. Saddle Brook resident Robert Lintner has been indicted by a grand jury on 10 counts connected with weapons seized by police from his home in August. Lintner was arrested on Aug. 8 after police searched and seized 195 firearms and 300 pounds of black gun powder in his home. Comment?

A Grand Jury in Hackensack handed a ten count indictment against Robert J. Lintner, of Saddle Brook, in connection with weapons seized from his home between Aug. 8 and Aug. 9, 2014. Saddle Brook police responded to a call on Aug. 8 at the home of Lintner and upon searching the home, police found firearms, ammunition, ammunition magazines and gunpowder. Comment?
