The Portage County Sheriff says that Brandon M. Welz, 29, was arrested early Saturday for a break-in at the County Line Bar and Grill located at 4 SR 44 in Rootstown Township that occurred three days earlier. According to a news release, detectives worked with the Trumbull County Sheriffs Office, Ashtabula County Sheriffs Office, Lake County Sheriffs Office, Geauga County Sheriffs Office, Howland Township Police Department, Warren Township Police Department, and the Niles Police Department to identify Welz as a person of interest in the Rootstown break-in, as well as approximately 20 additional breaking and entering incidents that have occurred in the month of May in the surrounding areas.
