Can I get my DUI supervision reinstated?
Got a DUI in 1995, did classes and victim impact panel, but did not appear at the end of supervision date and my supervision was revoked and a conviction was entered in 1996. I know it is very old, but there is an outstanding warrant so maybe the case is technically still open. I am wanting to go back in to get the supervision reinstated and then satisfactorily terminated so the "license revocation" will be removed. Can this be done? And if not, what am I supposed to do now? I don't live in Illinois anymore, but just want to clear this up
You need to contact the attorney who handled this matter or another attorney to address this for you. Although you no...

What can I do about court fines for a DUI?
Hello, in 2014 I received a DUI in Cook County, Illinois. I was sentenced to 2 years probation, 90 hours of Alcohol abuse treatment, 200 hours of community service, Impact panel session, revoked license, probation fees, required to pay re-instatement fees for my drivers license, and lastly $2,914.00 in Court fines, I have completed everything, except, paying my reinstatement fees for my Drivers license which I believe is $550.00, and the $2,914.00 in court fines. Probation fees, treatment, and community service have been taken care of, but with me being disabled and on a fixed income, of 871.00 a month has made it nearly impossible for me to save the money for the court fines. The most difficult part is the fact that I live 4 hours away in western Illinois away from Chicago. My probation will becoming to an end in December of this year 2016. I was told that I am to pay my fines in full at my last hearing in Cook County, less the reinstatement fees which will be sent to Springfield. I do not know what to do about the fines. I would like to know if there is some leniency when it comes to fines? Thank you for your time.

I plead down to Reckless Driving in Illinois, and got a year of supervision. Will I be drug tested at any time?
I have no history of DUI or drug arrests or problems of any kind, this was my first arrest. My Alcohol and Drug Evaluation says I am Minimal Risk. The problem I have is that in this report, under Classification 9.2, the evaluator (who had to interview me over the phone since she couldn't read the notes of the lady I did mine in person with who got fired.) "Random drug testing is recommended." While my Sentencing Order says the opposite under Drug/Alcohol Related Conditions, the box that is in bold type so you can't miss it says "Submit to random drug testing" which is unchecked, "Complete drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment recommendation" which is directly above it was checked, which I have no problem with. Will I have it take random drug tests? Thanks in advance,
If the alcohol evaluation comes back with a recommendation of random testing, it may be possible that you must submit...
I got my first should DUI last night, should I use free legal council or pay for a lawyers, and what are my chances of obtainin
I got a DUI last night. I failed the field sobriety test and was taken into custody. When we got there I asked if I could talk to legal counsel and was told no. They then told me that if I didn’t blow I would automatically lose my license for a year, whereas if I blew and failed, I would lose my license for 6 months. I blew a .133. I am a single mother, what would my chances of getting a work permit to drive to work, daycare, grocery store, ext. be? Also, would it be in my best interest to obtain a lawyer or just use a public defender?
You can't "just use a public defender". You must ask the court. To appoint one only if you a truly indigant.
