Richmond County sheriff's deputies say 26-year-old Melissa Field, of Ashley Street in Rockingham, broke into a building on Gordan Lane near Hamlet and took a Poulan chainsaw and a Craftstman table saw and later pawned them for cash at East Rockingham Pawn Shop. Arrest warrants - issued May 26 - show the alleged crimes took place between Nov. 17, 2014 and Jan. 21 of this year. Comment?

Richmond County sheriff's deputies say 35-year-old Dwight Junior Morgan, of Lynwood Lane, Rockingham, broke into a Dockery Road home on July 9. Morgan allegedly walked off with four overhead projectors, a metal desk, metal chair, metal kitchen sink, metal medicine cabinet and 10 metal window screens, according to an arrest warrant. Morgan is also accused of "snatching and pulling away" from Deputy R.C. Smith and failing to follow the officer's commands during the arrest. Comment?

According to the Richmond County Sheriff's office, 32-year-old Robert Lewis Bishop, of McDowell Lane in Rockingham, was charged for "taking inappropriate sexual misconduct" with three victims from 1994 until this year. Bishop was arrested Friday and charged with 156 counts each of first-degree sexual offense and committing a crime against nature, as well as 159 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. Around 10:57 Friday night, Trooper R.B. Goodwin with the N.C. Highway Patrol pulled over 21-year-old Devante Domonique Fenner of High Point, who had "red glassy eyes, slow deliberate movements and had an odor of alcoholic beverage about his breath" on Mill Road, according to court documents. Fenner, who had a blood alcohol level of 0.08 - the legal limit - also had an alcoholic beverage in the passenger seat, Goodwin said. Comment?

According to arrest warrants, 23-year-old Ryshawn Keyontai Diggs, of Lassiter Road, Rockingham, and 26-year-old Tashaad Ahamad Rhodes conspired with a third, unknown suspect to rob a 16-year-old. Documents allege that Diggs, holding a sliver handgun, robbed the teen of $216 in cash and a $300 cellphone on June 26. When detectives Ronald Brigman and Shawn Paxton of the Rockingham Police Department attempted to arrest Diggs on July 1 at a Armstead Street home, they say he ran out the back door and tried to run away. A Richmond County man is accused of trying to cut a woman with a harpoon and hunting knife in a domestic assault. A warrant for his arrest states Garner hit the woman in the arms, body and legs, then assaulted her "by attempting to cut her with a harpoon first and then with a large hunting knife." Comment?

Rodney Eugene Sanders, 48, of 127 Aslington St., was booked into the Moore County Detention Center at 1:08 p.m. on a charge of misdemeanor larceny, jail records show. Moore County sheriff's deputies made the arrest. Comment?

A man who was arrested last week in a Cordova break-in has been locked up again, this time on a rape charge. According to an arrest warrant, 23-year old Michael Jon Shepherd Jr. is accused of raping a woman "by force and against her will" on May 15. Shepherd, of Ledbetter Street in Cordova, was arrested by Rockingham police Monday and charged with a felony count of first-degree rape. Comment?
