Richmond County sheriff's deputies say they found heroin following a controlled buy for pills from a convicted felon with more than two dozen pending charges. According to arrest warrants, 36-year-old Bryant Shauntel Harrington, of Crestway Drive south of Rockingham, sold eight oxycodone pills to a confidential informant between Dec. 16 and Jan. 21. Deputies say they also found 0.2 grams of heroin and that Harrington maintained a house at 120 Webb Drive in Hamlet to keep and sell the highly addictive drug. Comment?

A man found himself in the Richmond County Jail after allegedly exposing himself during a disturbance outside a local bar this past weekend. According to court documents, 38-year-old Steve Randall Butler appeared intoxicated in the parking lot of the Southern Roadhouse on Saturday, challenging the bouncers to a fight, using "vulgar language" toward others and exposing his penis. Comment?

According to an incident report filed with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office on Jan. 18, the passenger-side rear door window was damaged on his 1999 Pontiac Montana. Another report filed Monday shows the back window of a 1997 Dodge Caravan was damaged. Comment?

According to a magistrate's order, 43-year-old Alfred Alexander Watkins, of Pine Ridge Drive in Rockingham, took "immoral, improper and indecent liberties" with a victim under the age of 16 "for the purpose of arousing and gratifying sexual desire." The complaint was filed at 10:57 p.m. and Watkins was brought in to the Rockingham Police Department for questioning where he was subsequently arrested. Comment?

Anthony Dwayne Greene, 31, of Center Street, is accused breaking into a home - at his listed address - and staying there after being told to leave, according to warrants taken out by the alleged victim. Warrants also state that he slapped the victim in the face and slapped a cordless house phone out of her hand while she was on the line with Richmond County 911. Comment?
