A woman who authorities say shoplifted at a Rochester mall after arriving in a limousine has been sentenced to 50 days in jail. The Post-Bulletin reports 22-year-old Karina Kay Bourcy of Moorhead pleaded guilty Friday to fifth-degree assault and theft. Comment?

Question: My front license plate fell off recently, am I required to display one? Can I display it up in the front windshield? Why do we need two license plates anyway? Answer: This is what Minnesota State Statute 169.79 says about license plates: "No person shall operate, drive, or park a motor vehicle on any highway unless the vehicle is registered in accordance with the laws of this state and has the number plates or permit confirming that valid registration or operating authority has been obtaineda " There are some vehicles that are allowed to display only one license plate: motorcycles; a dealer's vehicle or vehicle in-transit; a collector's vehicle with a pioneer, classic car, collector, or street rod license; a vehicle that is of model year 1972 or earlier , and is used for general transportation purpose. On Monday Morning September 7th, at approximately 3:50 a.m. Dodge County deputies responded to a report of an assault that took place in the 100 block of 4th Ave NE in Dodge Center. There deputies found a 37-year-old male victim with multiple lacerations and injuries from an assault. Comment?

Rochester police have identified a man killed in a shooting at a mobile home park that also injured two others. According to police, 22-year-old Trumane Gillmore of Rochester was killed in the shooting Monday afternoon outside Parkside Mobile Home Park. Comment?
